Piano Seat Restoration

Restoration of a piano seat for the local music school.

A few glimpses from the workshop.

This piano seat came in with a torn cover and crumbling foam. Step by step, it got taken apart, cleaned, rebuilt, reupholstered — and made comfortable again.

I used glossy black goat leather and 5.5 cm of new cushioning. The seat feels different now — dignified, quiet, solid.

These little projects are good for the soul.
