How the Bag Was Brought Back to Life – Workshop Notes
This wasn’t a quick fix. It was a full restoration — slow, careful work.
The entire bag was taken apart piece by piece. Every old stitch removed. The leather cleaned and touched up with dye to bring back its warmth. The torn fabric liner replaced with dark chocolate pigskin. A new interior pocket added for more room. Every seam restitched by hand with crisp white linen thread.
The shoulder strap was rebuilt from fresh leather. The buckle, once decorative, now works — adjustable and practical. Edges burnished. Leather treated and polished.
Many hours of workshop time later… the bag is ready for another decade (or two).
